Registry ANVISA: 80455630079 The Traumec Internal Nasal Splint is indicated for nasal surgeries in general (Septoplasties, sinusectomies, rhinoplasties, tubinectomies, epistaxis surgeries and pituitary surgeries), and has to be positioned near the nasal septum.
Made of silicone of medical grade, its flexibility and structural stability provide greater comfort, ensuring a less traumatic postoperative period and adequate healing of the septum, avoiding complications such as septal hematoma.
It has a different diameter cannula that allows breathing through the nose and compresses the nasal sidewall, thus helping in the hemostasis of surgeries in the nasal turbinates, besides assisting in ventilation, avoiding synechiae ensuring a better sleep to the patient. Silicone provides a gentle withdrawal without adhesion to the tissue, what has to happen approximately seven days after surgery.
